Dalton Riley is lying down on his couch, looking at his phone. His body language indicates that he's very relaxed and hasn't got a care in the world. An open laptop sits on a nearby table. The doorbell rings. Dalton casually and unhurriedly gets up from the couch to go answer it, opening the door to reveal Ryan Jordan.
They greet each other pleasantly. Dalton invites Ryan to sit down on the couch. They have an easy, relaxed rapport and are clearly friends. Ryan jokes that Sarah loves when he and Dalton have playdates and is happy Dalton invited him for a movie night. Dalton then makes jokingly derisive comments about Sarah.
Ryan (with a jokingly warning tone) defends Sarah, saying that's his girlfriend Dalton is talking about. Joking back, Dalton reminds Ryan that Sarah is his sister and he can talk about her however he wants, because he knew her first — and better.
Talk then turns to why Dalton and Ryan are getting together on this particular evening. Dalton can't wait to watch the new superhero movie they're both into. Dalton asks Ryan to start the movie on his laptop.
Ryan is shocked when something other than the movie begins playing. It becomes clear that Dalton had someone record Ryan cheating on Sarah. Ryan agrees that they should watch the movie, so Dalton tells him to get it started while he gets some popcorn ready. All Ryan needs to do is press play on the video file on the laptop — in the download folder.
Dalton gets up — seemingly to make the popcorn — as Ryan scrolls on the laptop. But instead of leaving the room, Dalton stops just behind Ryan and watches him, an excited and malicious expression coming over Dalton's face.
Ryan has an instant and very strong reaction to it, He watches for barely a second in shock before he slams the laptop shut. He turns back to Dalton, outraged and confused. Dalton threatens to show the video to Sarah unless Ryan lets Dalton fuck him. Ryan is reeling, furious and upset that Dalton – who is supposed to be his friend – has done this to him.
With a laugh, Dalton points out that since Ryan is cheating on his sister, HE doesn't exactly have the moral high ground here. But why? Ryan demands to know. WHY has Dalton done this to him?? Dalton casually explains that he (Dalton) gets bored easily.
He got bored of culinary school and dropped out of that, and he's already traveled everywhere in the world worth seeing, so as a person with too much money and too much time on his hands, he found himself needing a new hobby.
So he decided to make Ryan that hobby, and had a private investigator follow Ryan around and see what he could find. Dalton didn't know what he would unearth – that was part of the fun! – but was delighted and pleasantly surprised when the P.I. stumbled on Ryan's…extracurricular activities.
Dalton then goes on to lay out his offer to Ryan at Disruptive Films: Dalton will keep the incriminating video quiet and not share it with Sarah…if Ryan lets Dalton fuck him. Ryan initially refuses, but ultimately agrees to Dalton's demands when he realizes that he will lose everything if he refuses.
Ryan is shocked and taken-aback all over again, refusing, insisting that even if he was ready to give an asshole like Dalton what he wants, he's a virgin with guys. Dalton grins. It's not the first virgin guy he fucked.
